From 2014 the LAA will take on Permit renewals for factory-built gyrocopters. Ken Craigie, the LAA’s Chief Inspector, commented that this is a move the association has been working on for a number of months and that it will come into place in the new year. Ken explained that the existing 150 owners of factory-built gyrocopters will be given the choice as to whether they want to switch to the LAA renewal system or stay with the existing CAA option, adding that a move to the LAA should result in reduced maintenance costs. <a href=”http://www.lightaircraftassociation.co.uk”>Click here for more</a>
