Manx Flyers Aero Club suspends winter handling

Manx Flyers Aero Club, based at Isle of Man Airport, has announced suspension of all flying and handling activities from the end of September 2012 until the beginning of April 2013. According to the club, there has been a severe drop in the amount of flying in both the hiring and training activities this year and with the shorter days and possibly worse weather approaching, it is not viable to continue through the winter.
A statement from Jeff Nuttall, Managing Director of the club, confirmed that the club house will remain open, but not necessarily manned at all times – the handling and refuelling facilities will not operate, due to safety and quality control reasons. Jeff said, “If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me on 0151 486 6161 or e-mail [email protected]
Thank you for your understanding and I look forward to welcoming you back next year.”
