More IQ and auto radar for Cirrus Jet

+VIDEO Cirrus Aircraft has announced two updates to its best-selling single engine Vision Jet.

First, Cirrus IQ, the app that has been helping SR series owners for a while is now ported over to the SF50 Vision jet.

Cirrus IQ enables the user to remotely check the status of the aircraft (fuel etc), and to better manage and monitor maintenance and other scheduled tasks.

The next update relates to the Garmin digital weather radar that now comes with an ‘auto’ mode.

The pilot turns it on, sets it to auto and the system starts building a weather picture with multiple radar sweeps while eliminating the weather radar whispering skills usually required.

FLYER had a chance to test both recently, with both operating as advertised, although as you would expect, finding any decent cells to paint proved a bit of a challenge.
