New airport manager for Cambridge

Cambridge Airport has announced the appointment of David Cran as the new Airport Manager.
According to a statement from the airfield, David has over 23 years experience in the civil aviation industry starting as an Air Traffic Control Assistant working at various airports around the UK. In 2001 he moved to Stansted Air Traffic Control where he worked in Ops and Training and was part of the team to implement the UK’s first Electronic Flight Progress Strip System and was one of only two Met Observer examiners for NATS. In 2005 he left NATS to join BAA as an Airside Operations Manager at Stansted. In his spare time he has taught RT Phraseology to micro-light pilots and has worked for the last twelve years at the Imperial War Museum Duxford as a Flight Information Service Officer. He is currently in the process of training for his Private Pilots Licence.
