New boss at Piper, Jet project dropped

Piper has appointed Simon Caldecott as the new interim President and CEO. Caldecott replaces Geoff Berger who became interim CEO in mid 2010 when he replaced Kevin Gould who replaced Jim Bass in June 2010. Caldecott joined Piper in 2009 and was Vice President of Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain. Executive Vice President Randy Groom has also left the company.

Piper announced that it is indefinitely suspending development of the Piper Altaire following a recent review. CEO Simon Caldecott said “Unfortunately and regrettably, this will have serious consequences for many talented Piper employees and for our Piper Altaire customers.”<a href=”http://www.piper.com/”>Click here for more</a>
