No Red Bull Air Races for 2012

It has been confirmed that Red Bull Air Racing has been put on hold for 2012, extending its one-year break from 2011. An announcement on the Red Bull events website originally explained the break is to ensure ‘the future success and development of the sport’. The organisation are using this time to work on technological advances and also improve safety levels. In a statement to AOPA, a Red Bull Race Team spokesperson explained that the races will be back in 2013, with a ‘revamped concept and a fixed race calendar.’ Click here for more
