Red Bull and CubCrafters Dubai hotel landing

VIDEO Clearly there’s no good reason other than publicity for this landing, but that’s no reason to not to have a bit of fun with a Carbon Cub and a helicopter landing pad on the 56th floor of the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai.

The modified Carbon Cub was flown by Red Bull Air Race (remember them?) pilot Luke Czepiela. The landing was on the 88ft wide helipad which sits 700ft above the ground. The press release has enough glowing puffery to be shared between all involved, with Mike Patey of Scrappy fame even getting name-checked as part of the tech advisory team.
