French Robin and CAP owners will be writing letters to Father Christmas in the hope that he can bring them some urgently needed good news. Since APEX, manufacturer of the DR and CAP series, went into liquidation the parts supply has become non-existent. The FFA (Federation Francaise Aeronautique) estimate that 50 aircraft are currently grounded, with many more due to be grounded over the coming weeks.
The FFA recently sent out an open letter predicting a catastrophic end to ‘100 years of French aeronautical excellence’ and the end of the unique aeroclub system. That letter can be found at <a href=”http://www.pix.flyer.co.uk/Apex.pdf”>www.pix.flyer.co.uk/Apex.pdf</a>.
