Following successful public testing of the prototype, Skydemon has announced the imminent release of SkyDemon for Android.
The software is currently available for public testing on the SkyDemon website and the developers say will soon be listed on the Google Play Store.
SkyDemon for Android is free for all existing subscribers.
Tim Dawson, founder and chief software architect at SkyDemon said, “After a year of hard work unifying our code to work across multiple platforms, it is immensely gratifying to be able to add Android to our family and enhance worldwide aviation safety for an even larger audience.”
For the first time, SkyDemon charts will have an airways mode to work alonside the existing VFR mode. According to the developers, this feature makes the software much more suitable for airways flying, and it is easy to switch between the two presentation styles. The feature will also be available on iPad and PC products.
