Flight planning and navigation software developer SkyDemon has announced Version 2.7 for iPad, Android and PC. The new version includes traffic integration, GAR advice and a document browser.
The traffic is via a connection with PowerFlarm, a means of receiving ADS/B, Mode C/S and Flarm traffic; the updates are then included in a single display on SkyDemon devices. A statement from the company said, “The future of light aviation will involve having information on other traffic available onscreen at all times, with proximity warnings where necessary. We are committed to the widespread adoption of ADS/B traffic information in GA and will do our best to provide integrated support for all popular receivers.”
New features also include GAR advice – users flying into or out of the UK mainland will be advised when a GAR form is required, and how many hours in advance it should be filed – and a document browser which allows users to view documents and plates more easily.
