Thielert Aircraft Engines GmbH, the diesel engine manufacturer which went into insolvency in 2008, has transferred its operative new business to CENTURION Aircraft Engines AG & Co. KG. The new company will be responsible for global sales of CENTURION diesel engines and spare parts.
The administrator for Thielert says that the move is the result of ‘the growing demand in the business with replacement and reequipped engines for Diamond, Robin, Piper and Cessna aeroplanes in the sphere of general aviation.’
‘CENTURION can quickly establish itself on the market without the burden of the insolvency stigma,’ says administrator Bruno M Kubler.
