Trig announces TY91/TY92 radios update

Trig Avionics has announced a new software update for its TY91 and TY92 compact VHF 8.33 radios.
Andy Davis CEO at Trig explained the background to the latest radio software. “Hundreds of Trig radios are installed in GA and rotary types around the world. We’ve gathered customer feedback from pilots about our radios, as part of our continuous improvement policy. We are releasing software version 1.5, for our TY91 and TY92 radios.”
According to Trig, version 1.5 provides improved audio performance, for both the transmit function and the radio intercom – particularly where intrusive noise is an issue. The TY92 has been used in search and rescue helicopters and Trig says this new enhancement has been welcomed by the aircraft operator and their pilots.
The Trig radios transmit interlock performance has also been improved, beneficial where multiple radios are in operation, typically in heavier GA and rotary types. Finally, the addition of an adjustable mic gain control will enhance compatibility with both low and high power microphones.
All Trig products can be updated via a simple software install, available from qualified Approved Trig Dealers.
