VAC supports campaign to save Panshanger

The Vintage Aircraft Club is the latest organisation to voice its support of a campaign to save Panshanger Aerodrome, Hertfordshire from potential development.
A statement from the club said, ‘Many Vintage Aircraft Club members have over the years, flown into or enjoyed the ambience of Panshanger Aerodrome in Hertfordshire. Sadly, now this aerodrome has joined at least half a dozen others on the “at risk” list.
‘We believe we can overturn this plan if sufficient people within the aviation community respond to the Council’s consultation.’
Campaigners are asking that anyone opposed to the plans help lobby the local council, as the window to oppose the plans closes on 18 January 2013.
The LAA has posted an item on its website providing information for people to use when compiling their responses against the planned closure of Pansanger aerodrome here.
