Wolverhampton change to landing fees

With effect from 25 January 2012, individual landing fees for privately operated resident aircraft up to 3,000kg at Wolverhampton (Halfpenny Green) have been abolished and replaced with block landing fees for all resident aircraft.
The adoption of block landing charges has enabled the charges to be kept low – £20/month for microlights, £30 for aircraft over 450kg and £70 for group aircraft operated by four or more pilots. These charges include VAT and allow an unlimited number of landings.
“We hope that the new charges will encourage our residents to fly more,” said Operations Manager, Alastair Mackinnon, adding, “Combined with our ‘Three Months Free Parking’ offer, we hope they will encourage more pilots to try Halfpenny Green as a base.”
