YES announces 2013 aviation education events

The Youth and Education Strut of the LAA has announced the dates of two events for 2013. An Aviation-themed Education Conference will take place at Brooklands Museum on Saturday 27 April from 1000-1600. According to YES, the programme will include information and guidance on a wide range of aviation-related activities for young and old and include careers advice and the support which is available through a number of established organisations.
The Strut will be talking about the many Build-A-Plane projects going on around the UK, and also discussing the development of aviation museums, and bursaries and grants available. The conference will also offer the opportunity of talk with representatives from these organisations and network with other groups. A brief tour of the museum will be available – there is no charge for the event, but normal museum entry will apply.
The following day, 28 April, YES will host an Airmanship Awareness day, also to be held at Brooklands. The programme will be set to deal with aviation issues that concern you and will put forward ideas to make you a better aviator, with a group of experts from a wide range of flying backgrounds encouraging you to become mature wise aviators. The fee for this day is £30 which includes museum entry.
