Airbus Helicopters is showing off its all-new H160 helicopter at the HeliTech International Exhibition which opens at London’s ExCel today.
The French-German company will also focus on how customer satisfaction, quality, safety and competitiveness is driving its company transformation.
“The entire industry is looking for efficient ways of moving forward in the current fast-changing market environment,” said Airbus Helicopters CEO Guillaume Faury. “We see this as an opportunity to further satisfy and support our customers, providing them with the best solutions through our product portfolio and service offer.”
The H160 mock-up will make its British debut at Helitech. The new-generation 5.5 to 6 tonne twin-engine helicopter includes several innovations such as a canted Fenestron, bi-plane horizontal stabiliser and Blue Edge rotor blades. The effect of these is increased performance, reduced sound levels and increased passenger comfort, says Airbus Helicopters (formerly Eurocopter).
The H160 will be tailored for a wide range of applications, including public service, oil and gas operations, emergency medical services and business and private aviation.
The H Pilot Club, an association launched by Airbus Helicopters at June’s Paris Airshow, will host its first meeting at HeliTech. The club aims to unite the worldwide community of pilots, flight crew members, technicians, logisticians and flight enthusiasts.
