Alpha Aviation NZ, which manufactures and markets the ALPHA 120T and ALPHA 160A, has been bought by the Hong Kong based IXL Group. Alpha Aviation, went into administration following the withdrawal of financial support from its backers. The new ownership means that Alpha plans to restart production of the aircraft as soon as clearance from New Zealand CC is obtained. The type certificates and aircraft production are expected to remain in New Zealand, while also creating support for owners of the Robin R2100 series and its predecessor the HR200 series.
