Beechcraft reportedly for sale again

News source <a href=’http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-10-17/beechcraft-owners-said-to-be-approaching-potential-bidder.html’ target=’_blank’>Bloomberg</a> has reported that US aircraft manufacturer Beechcraft Corp. is for sale again.
Quoting anonymous sources, the report says that Credit Suisse Group AG is contacting potential suitors on their interest in acquiring Beechcraft.
The company, formerly known as Hawker Beechcraft, filed for bankruptcy in May 2012. Later that year, negotiations for the company to be bought by a Chinese investor for $1.79b fell through.
The report also indicates that Textron, owners of Cessna, could be one of the interested parties. Textron CEO Scott Donnelly said during a July 2012 quarterly earnings call that at the right price, Beechcraft could be a good fit for Textron, whose holdings include Bell helicopters, military drones and Cessna aircraft. Donnelly reportedly said, “I think some of the assets of the company are interesting and would be a good fit in our company and that we could do the right thing for their existing customers and our customers — it would all work.”
It’s likely that Beechcraft would be an attractive asset for many, with its profitable King Air division and military trainers.
