Bendix King has announced it has taken the decision to drop its myWingMan navigation app, due to a ‘crowded’ aviation tablet app market.
The company has said that customers with existing paid subscriptions will be issued a full refund. In an email to customers, Bendix King explained that the decision was a difficult one, but it is the right thing to do.
An annual VFR subscription to the app retailed for $99, and an IFR subscription was $149. Originally launched as a US-only product, the app was due to be launched in the UK in Summer 2013.
