What an Epic! It's been a long journey but the Epic E1000 AX single-engine turbine has now received its type certification from the US authority, the FAA. The high performance aircraft is fitted with a full suite of Garmin avionics and controls including Autoland and Autothrottle

Spirit Engineering SE-1
Spirit Engineering surprised many with this 1930s looking SE-1. The single-seater has a gross weight of just 740 lb and a useful load of 320 lb. Spirit claims a top speed of 112mph and a climb rate of 750ft/min. It's powered by Spirit's own V2 four-stroke engine which produces 42hp. It's a ready to fly aircraft with prices starting at $69,500. First deliveries expected later this year

Sonex High Wing
Sonex had every reason to arrive early - the company is based on the airfield. This is their latest project, the High Wing. Sonex announced it is now taking orders with the basic airframe kit costing $39,000 or $55,000 for the Quick Build kit
