Kemble Aviation Scholarships

Kemble Airport Aviation Scholarships are being offered again as part of a drive by the Cotswold airfield to attract youngsters into aviation.

The Scholarships give youngsters aged 15 to 18 years (on 1 September 2008) the chance to experience various aspects of aviation, including four hours flying tuition in Kemble-based Ultimate High’s ex-military Bulldog aircraft, one hour in a microlight with Kemble Flying School and an air experience flight in a JetRanger helicopter. There’s also aviation ground school and guidance and wisdom from aviation professionals such as Rolls Royce Chief Test Pilot Phill O’Dell.

Applicants, who must be from the Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire area and need to fall into the age brackets defined above, must also be passionate about aviation. Applications can be made online at www.fly2help.org.

The Kemble Airport Aviation Scholarships are made possible through the continuing generosity of airport owner Ronan Harvey as well as local businesses including fly2help.org, Cotswold Helicopters, Ultimate High, Kemble Flying School and Kemble Air Services.

The scholarships will take place from 6th – 17th April 2009.
