Old Buckenham announces new engineering centre

Old Buckenham Airfield has announced that it has brought together maintenance, avionics, paint and upholstery specialists to form a new Old Buckenham Aero Engineering Centre.
Aircraft owners can now find CAA Part M maintenance, LAA maintenance, avionics repairs and maintenance as well as a full paint facility with interiors specialists all in one place, giving Old Buckenham a wide range of services.
According to the team at the airfield, the Aero Engineering Centre has involved over a year of research and negotiation and the result brings together some of the most talented organisations in General Aviation. The companies that form the centre are The Light Aircraft Company, Avitronics Aircraft Avionics and Custom Air Bespoke Aircraft Paint and Interiors.
Matt Wilkins, Airfield Manager, said, “This is one of the most significant developments in 70 years at Old Buckenham. With the creation of the Aero Engineering Centre we have immediately put the airfield at the forefront of aircraft maintenance. Very few other places can boast of such an array of aircraft services.”
Paul Hendry Smith, owner of The Light Aircraft Company, explained, “We are delighted to be able to offer our service to a wider audience, and Old Buckenham is the perfect place to do just that.”
