Aircraft Investor Resources has announce that it is taking orders for the Dynasty, a new single-engine turboprop based on the <a href=’http://www.epicaircraft.com’ target=’_blank’>Epic LT</a>. The initial price for the aircraft, which is just beginning a certification process due to be completed in 2008, is $1.9m.
Certification is to take place in Canada; due to the new reciprocal arrangements this means that its certification will also be valid in the US.
The composite aircraft will be a certified version of the Epic, which should be able to at 340kt at a pressurised ceiling of 28,000ft. It is powered by the 1200hp Pratt & Whitney PT6. Range is quoted as 1,560nm.
Epic is also working on the Epic Elite twin engine VLJ (Very Light Jet), which will also be certified under the new Canada-US agreement, an agreement which could see certification times tumbling.
