Adam Aircraft suspends operations

Adam Aircraft, one of the earliest VLJ (Very Light Jet) companies, has suspended operations at its Colorado plant. “This measure,” says the company, “was required due to the inability of the company to come to terms with their lender for funding necessary to maintain business operations. The company is currently exploring all of its alternatives and will provide further guidance when decisions are made, which is expected to be later this week. ”

As reported in the March issue of FLYER, earlier in the year Adam, while remaining bullish about the future, had announced the lay-offs of a number of employees at bases around the US.

Adam is working towards the production of two aircraft: the twin-engine A700 VLJ and the push-pull (‘centerline’) A500 piston twin.
