Aerobility on the hunt for two nice Piper Aircraft

Disabled flying charity Aerobility is on the hunt for two aircraft to join its fleet, a Piper PA-28 Warrior or Archer and a Piper Cherokee Six, ideally a PA-32-260.

Aerobility’s mission is to ‘change lives by providing the disabled community access to the magic and wonder of flight’. It does this with a range of flying opportunities including taking the controls of the aircraft, hence the charity’s motto, ‘If I can fly an aeroplane, what else can I do?’.

Mike Miller-Smith MBE, chief executive of Aerobility, told FLYER, “The PA-28 is required on the basis of demand, lots of flyers, lots of scholarships, great to have the need.

“In addition we really miss our Cherokee Six. It gives us an unrivalled capability to carry a hoist as well as a wheelchair – it’s possible to complete [not only] a hoisted A to B flight but also to take the aircraft to any airfield around the UK and deliver hoist access flights. We like the 260 as it can run on UL91.”
