Airmasters takes over as UK agent for Evektor aircraft

The UK has a new agent for Evektor aircraft including the popular EV-97 and SportSTAR. It is Airmasters, based in Northamptonshire, which is already the UK distributor for Flight Design aircraft and an approved Rotax engineer.

The previous distributor was Roger Cornwell, whose company Ascent Industries, will continue to act as agent for another popular light aircraft, the Eurofox.

Roger said, “I have decided to semi retire and concentrate on the Eurofox only, and as part of that decision, I approached Gary Masters at Airmasters to take over the Evektor UK representation. He has since come to an agreement with Evektor.

“When I decided to slow down and exit Evektor, I decided I would only do so if the new agent had the experience and ability to support the fleet (EV-97 and SportSTAR) in the right way. I therefore approached only those companies with existing A8-1 factory approval and experience on aircraft type. Airmasters have both and in addition, are well known for their Rotax service support and are a fine reputable company.”

Gary Masters, founder and boss of Airmasters, added, “From 2023, we will be the only organisation with an Evektor agreement for the supply of approved Evektor Aircraft and spare parts for the UK. Please allow us time to obtain stock and set up the systems to manage this support service.

“Airmasters UK will soon have CAA approval within its A8-1 authorisation to supply genuine and warranted parts to the UK fleet of EV-97 and SL.”

Gary is also a Senior BMAA Inspector, LAA Inspector and holds a CAA A3-7 Authorisation for many CAA Permit aircraft types.
