There aren’t many places where this could happen, but Palm Springs California, host to this year’s AOPA Expo is one of them. Today (Wednesday 8th November) officials closed some roads and escorted over 100 aircraft from the airport to the town’s convention centre. The ‘airplanes’ ranged from the smallest Rotax powered LSA (Light Sport Aircraft) to bizjets and turboprops, with all but the two Adams aircraft making the journey under their own power.
In addition to the normal AOPA visitors, the route was lined by many residents eager to catch a glimpse of ‘those little ‘planes’.
