Alto NG microlight heading for UK to start type approval

The Direct Fly Alto NG 600kg microlight is expected in the UK later this month to start its type approval process.

Plaistow-based Exodus Aircraft has announced the imminent arrival of the Alto NG which it will be importing from the Czech manufacturer through a new joint company, DirectFly UK, with Flylight Airsports.

The first UK demonstrator will be flown to the Popham Microlight Trade Fair on 2-3 May.

The Alto NG 912S is an all-metal, low wing, 600kg Light Sport Microlight. The manufacturer says it has ultra-safe flight characteristics, making it ideally suited to flight schools, aero clubs and recreational pilots.

Other features include a  spacious cabin, 92 litre fuel capacity, large luggage capacity and a standard Rotax 912S engine. There’s also a comprehensive list of engine and avionics upgrades.
