French aircraft developer Aura Aero has a new design for its hybrid-electric regional aircraft plus fresh funding to manufacture its two-seat aerobatic aircraft, the Integral S and R.
At AERO Friedrichshafen next week, the company will present a redesigned version of its 19-seat ERA aircraft, including updated interior and exterior styling to simplify the aircraft.
The hybrid-electric ERA has multiple potential roles, says Aura Aero, including regional transport, business aviation and cargo, with an emphasis on lower operating costs and reduced environmental impact.

Alongside ERA, Aura Aero will showcase its Integral training aircraft family. The aerobatic-capable tailwheel Integral R, already certified in Europe, is fully booked for 2026, while the nosewheel version, the Integral S, is nearing certification with deliveries expected this year.
The product updates come as the Toulouse-based manufacturer moves into a new phase of industrialisation, backed by a €50 million Series B funding round that brings total financing to €340 million. The company has also secured firm orders for ERA and is preparing to scale production with new manufacturing facilities in Toulouse and Daytona Beach, Florida.
Aura Aero says the funding will support the first flight of ERA, increased production of the Integral range, expansion of its drone activities, while enabling full industrial-scale manufacturing capability.
Company co-founder Jérémy Caussade said the funding would allow Aura Aero to “produce at scale” and accelerate development of a new generation of low-emission aircraft.
