A story on the <a href=’http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/news/West-Yorkshire-pilots-arrested-after.3159195.jp’ target=’_blank’>Yorkshire Evening Post</a> website has revealed that a director of Sherburn Aero Club, together with a learner pilot, have been arrested in Belgium after drugs valued at £2.5m were found on the aircraft they were about to take off in.
Stephen Jackson and Leon Franklin are being detained in Belgium after they were stopped – according to the paper – as they were taxying out at an airstrip near the village of Saint Ghislain in the Hainault region in late July.
