CAA call for Safety Award nominations

Last year’s winner was Neil France who, as a passenger, took control of a light aircraft when the pilot fell ill, and landed safely in an aircraft he had not previously flown
It’s that time again – the CAA is calling for nominations for its GA Safety Awards. They’re now in their 13th year. Nominees can come from any section of the general
aviation community – pilots, instructors, engineers, aircraft operators or
air traffic services staff. They should be over 16 years of age and may
be either individuals or an organisation. Only ‘one-off’ incidents that
occurred during 2006 will be considered. Unfortunately, awards are not
presented for life-long service to aviation.

If you’ve got a nomination you want to make, go to the Awards page for an online form, or call the CAA’s Corporate Communications Department on 020 453 6030 for something more paper-based.
