CAA Safety Awards: postponed

The CAA has announced that it is postponing its General Aviation Safety Awards for 2007, due to the low number of suitable nominations.

Any nominations which have been made for the 2007 Awards will now be held over to the 2008, and will be considered alongside any new entries submitted in the coming months.

The awards are presented in recognition of good airmanship or practical skills and abilities when faced with potentially serious incidents directly related to flying.

Nominations can be submitted online via the CAA’s website (<a href=’http://www.caa.co.uk/ga_award’ target=’_blank’>www.caa.co.uk/ga_award</a>). A printed version of the nomination form is available from the CAA’s Corporate Communications Department (telephone number 020 7453 6030). There will also be advertisements in <i><b>FLYER</b></i> and other publications later in the year.
