Cabair signs deal with Diamond

The Cabair Group have signed an order with Diamond Aircraft UK for 15 new Diamond Star DA40’s for the Cabair College of Air Training at Cranfield.

The aircraft will all be fitted with the Thielert Centurion diesel engine and Garmin G1000 integrated glass panels.

Canair will also take delivery of 4 DA42 Twin Stars – with the same glass cockpit avionics – for multi-engine training, instrument rating and multi pilot training.

Edward Jones, Cabair’s Head of Training at Cranfield explains: “Becoming familiarised with the glass cockpit from the very beginning of flight training will pay great dividends when it comes to the eventual transition from light aircraft to jet airliners – and especially throughout the line and type training when they join an airline.”
