Cessna crash at Liverpool

Liverpool airport was closed for a while yesterday evening after a light aircraft – reported to be a Cessna 182 – came down ‘in fields’ short of runway 27. Both occupants of the aircraft were said to have received injuries, but not life-threatening ones.

Commercial flights were diverted to East Midlands airport during the closure.
