Columbia makes things clearer

‘Columbia Aircraft University – Education on the Highest Plane’ is what they’re calling it.

Columbia, manufacturer of the Columbia 350 and 400 aircraft, has introduced a ‘White Paper’ section to its website, answering a number of technical questions in depth.

The subjects currently on the site include
– Certification – Type Certificates and Supplemental Type Certificates;
– Induction Systems – Normally-Aspirated, Turbo-Normalized and Turbo-Charged;
– Cockpit Integration – Integrated Systems and Integrated Components;
– Inadvertent Icing Protection – Electric, Pneumatic and Chemical;
– Mission Flexibility – Range versus Payload; Damage History;
– Spin Certification – Spin Resistance, Spin Recoverable and Equivalent Level of Safety;
– Insurance – Importance of the First Quote;
– Aircraft ownership for the First-Time Buyer.

The White Papers are all in pdf format, and so can be downloaded to print out, or read on screen.
