One of the UK’s biggest fly-ins proved a hit in July.

Sleap’s Pistons & Props weekend has turned into one of the biggest and best UK fly-ins. The 2022 event saw more than 150 aircraft visit over the two days in July, with a large number camping overnight and enjoying great food and drink laid on by the Shropshire Aero Club team.
The mix of aircraft was great, including the biggest UK gathering of Harvards for some years. The team made some great leaps in the food and drink offerings available throughout the weekend and the overall feedback was highly positive.
It was great to see many familiar faces, as well as new ones. Watching James Brown pitch a tent next to his Hawker Hurricane was a particularly unique moment. The event is back in 2023 spread over three days, so we’ll hopefully see lots of you there.
