First Transair Women In Aviation event held at Brighton City Airport

Twenty-five female pilots, engineers, air traffic controllers and student pilots gathered at Brighton City Airport for an inaugural Transair Women In Aviation event on 1 July.

Hosted by Transair director and PPL pilot Katherine Moloney, the new series of events is designed to facilitate networking and support, share experiences and improve understanding across different professions in the aviation industry.

Katherine said, “It’s been an ambition of mine for a long time to kick off an event that helps encourage and support women to pursue their aviation ambitions. It was a great success and fantastic to see so many women attend, who each had their own stories to tell. This has been a fantastic starting point and we’re looking forward to seeing more events in the future.”
