Hawker Beechcraft Global Customer Support (GCS) has appointed Gama Support Services at Farnborough Airport to its network of service centres to support its Beechcraft King Air 200, 250, 300 and 350 aircraft and Beechcraft Premier business jets. In addition, Gama Support Services will support the Beechcraft Baron and Bonanza products as a fully authorised service centre.
“We are pleased to add Gama Support Services to our worldwide service centre network,” said Christi Tannahill, Hawker Beechcraft senior vice president, Global Customer Support. “The expansion of our network into Southeast England underlines the demand for business aviation in the region.”
Hawker Beechcraft has also recently announced the appointment of Harrods Aviation at Luton Airport as a limited service centre to support its Hawker 750, 800, 800XP, 850XP and 900XP business jets. Christi Tannahill said, “The company and its new maintenance partner, Harrods, expect to see a large number of business flights into London during the 2012 Olympics and the additional capacity will allow Hawker Beechcraft owners and operators to schedule maintenance or servicing during their visit.”
It has been announced that Hawker Beechcraft will have new owners after emerging from a financial restructuring under Chapter 11 bankrutpcy protection later this year.
Existing co-owners Onex Partners and GS Capital Partners are selling their equity stake in Hawker Beechcraft, with the company’s creditors exchanging a $2.5 billion debt load for ownership in the company. The creditors are described as ‘a mix of undisclosed financial institutions’.
