UPDATE Helicentre Aviation Academy announced the winner of their 2025 Commercial Pilot Licence Scholarship today, Saturday, 1 November at Pilot Careers Live, London.
The winner is…. Jack Aldred
A statement from Helicentre said that this year’s applicants were of an exceptional standard, setting a remarkably high bar for this year’s scholarship.
Candidates completed a rigorous selection process, including interviews, presentations, and group assessments with the Scholarship Committee, all demonstrating professionalism, and an enthusiastic passion for aviation.
Helicentre chairman Chris Line said, “Each year, our scholarship programme uncovers outstanding talent. It’s a fantastic opportunity for the winner and highlights the remarkable commitment of all applicants.
“We’re proud to support the next generation of professional helicopter pilots and invest in the future of our industry.”

The scholarship fully funds the winner’s professional training including CPL(H) ground school, hour building, and the Commercial Pilot Licence course on the Cabri G2. In total, there’s up to 150 hours of flight time.
“We are delighted to award this scholarship to a truly deserving candidate, whose dedication and progress have been exemplary,” added Chris.
