The operator of the well-known, Duxford-based, Catalina flying boat Miss Pick Up is holding an Open Day on 16 October at Duxford.

It’s an opportunity for pilots and non-pilots to spend a day with some of the owners and crew and learn more about getting involved in share ownership.

“This method of owning and flying a large ‘warbird’ has proved very successful and we are keen to open up the opportunity to get involved as a shareholder to more individuals,” said David Legg for Plane Sailing Air Displays, which operates the aircraft.

“Share owners get the opportunity to fly in the aircraft and there are opportunities to become qualified on the aircraft as co-pilot or captain.”

Anyone interested in finding out more and attending the Open Day should contact [email protected] for more details.
