This weekend’s Jersey International Air Rally, one of the main stays of the competitive fly-in calendar, has fallen foul of the weather and has been cancelled.
A message on the Jersey Aero Club’s website says:
“UNFORTUNATELY DUE TO ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS, THE RALLY HAS HAD TO BE CANCELLED.
“As you can guess, we are ready here to welcome you all and so, if any of you can make it any time during the weekend, we would love to see you!
“Should the weather improve, lunch in Lessay will go ahead. The customs request will be done on your behalf. So if you can make it, please join us.”
