Klein Vision, Slovakia-based developer of the flying car, has unveiled its production prototype of the Aircar.
AirCar inventor and designer Stefan Klein unveiled the production prototype to a crowd of industry leaders at the Legends of Aviation Gala Dinner where Klein was honoured with a Special Recognition Award for Engineering Excellence.
The AirCar, which holds a Certificate of Airworthiness in Slovakia, has completed more than 170 flight hours and more than 500 takeoffs and landings, according to the company. It is said to be capable of automatic transformation from car to aircraft in less than two minutes, and has a new 280-horsepower engine.
