Aeros Flight Training has announced a major leadership reshuffle as founder and chairman Tom Dunn MBE FRAeS steps down, marking what the company calls a “natural evolution” in its journey.
Dunn, who co-founded Aeros and guided it through decades of expansion, is handing over to CEO Nick Dunn and the existing board. A new chair will be announced shortly.

“These changes mark a natural evolution in Aeros’ journey,” said Tom Dunn. “The enhanced team brings a broad depth of experience, and their shared passion for aviation education makes this an exciting next chapter. I look forward to supporting the board and the business as they move forward.”
As part of the restructure, long-serving managing director Martin Lynch has been appointed Chief Operating Officer. Lynch said he was “honoured to evolve my role” at a pivotal time for the business, pledging to continue strengthening Aeros’ operations and maintaining high standards of pilot training.
The move follows a period of expansion for Aeros, which operates from bases at Cardiff, Gloucester, Leeds and Wellesbourne. The company recently announced a fleet upgrade to Tecnam aircraft fitted with glass cockpits, replacing older trainers as part of a gradual modernisation effort.
Aeros remains one of the larger names in the UK modular training sector, offering a pay-as-you-go route from PPL to commercial licences.
