Lightspeed adds AI to enhance Zulu 4 headset

Lightspeed Aviation has introduced an upgraded headset, the Zulu 4, which uses AI (Artificial Intelligence) to enhance the anti noise reduction (ANR) system. It’s AINR!

The Zulu range of headsets is Lightspeed’s best-selling and the Zulu 3 has been around since 2017. The Zulu 4 has a range of other improvements as well as the AI. They are:

• Redesigned earseals to help spectacle wearers get comfortable
• 10% long mic book
• Longer upper cable
• Flexible power option
• Dual Bluetooth connects to two devices simultaneously

Other features of the Zulu 4:

• Constructed almost entirely of stainless steel and magnesium
• Cables built around a Kevlar core
• 7-Year Limited Warranty to record incoming and outgoing communications, playback transmissions, draw diagrams, and archive flight recordings
• ComPriority which automatically lowers the volume of any auxiliary devices during radio or intercom transmissions
• Auto Shutoff – Lightspeed’s proprietary feature that saves battery life by automatically shutting down the headset power when not in use.

The Zulu 4 retails for $1,099 and will be available for sale outside of the U.S. later this year.
