Lydd Airport opens doors for ATC presentation

Lydd Airport on Romney Marsh in Kent is providing a unique opportunity to see what goes on in its ATC tower and to quiz a controller and an assistant during a presentation and social evening on Saturday, 10 May.
The three-hour event, An Audience with Lydd ATC, features a 90-minute presentation by the ATC team and includes a question and answer session.
An airport spokesman said, “It’s sure to be of great interest to a wide range of flyers, from experienced commercial pilots to aero club students. They will be treated to a virtual tour and be taken through all aspects of our airport’s operations and procedures, enhanced by props and video animation.”
The evening starts at 5pm, with the presentation at 6pm. The airport’s Biggles bar and restaurant will remain open throughout the event.
