New hangars for Old Buckenham

Old Buckenham Airfield is starting a project which will see new hangars at the airfield to provide space for up to a further 20 resident aircraft.
The work is due to be complete in February 2014. As well as the new hangars, the project will see a ‘considerable increase’ in external tarmac parking as well as ‘substantial ground works’.
Details of the exact cost will not be revealed, but the investment is a considerable six figure sum.
The airfield management explained that the decision to complete the hangars was taken in light of a perpetual waiting list for space at Old Buckenham, which already houses 25 aircraft. Matt Wilkins, Airfield Manager, said, “It was always going to be hard to beat the successes of 2013, but this is the best possible start. The airfield’s reputation as being immaculately maintained and exceptionally friendly can only be enhanced by having the best quality hangarage in Norfolk.”
Several spaces in the new hangar bays have already been reserved and interested aircraft owners are invited to make contact to view and potentially secure a position. Click here for more
