OAT becomes Oxford Aviation Academy

Oxford Aviation Training has been rebranded as Oxford Aviation Academy (OAA) in a move which follows its purchase last year by GCAT, and the creation of a new group of companies.

The new group “combines the UK, Far East, Scandinavian and Baltic TRTO facilities previously operated by GCAT Flight Academy with Oxford Aviation Training and BAE Systems Training.” This means that OAA can now offer training to the aviation industry over the complete spectrum from Engineers to Pilots and Cabin Crew, and from ab initio to Type Rating, Base and Line Training, and makes it, it claims, the largest independent aviation training organisation in Europe.

It operates from 10 locations across Europe, Asia and North America.

The branding change has not, OAA says, changed anything about the day-to-day running of the Oxford base.
