Oxford Aviation launches Maths GCSE course

Oxford Aviation Academy (formerly Oxford Aviation Training), one of the leading providers of professional flight training, has launched a computer based training course for Maths GCSE. The course is approved by the Department for Children, Schools and Families and is Curriculum Online Certified.

The course comes on two CD-ROMs, and lasts 81 lessons.

So why is Oxford, through its OATmedia subsidiary, launching this package? Because, a spokesman told us, OAA had found that the mathematics which potential ATPLs had learned at school simply hadn’t provided the foundation which the Academy required. The course has been developed for use within the Academy, but the general reception was so positive that the decision was taken to make a general release.

Last year OATmedia launched a similar course for Physics.
