Piper Germany buys CSE Parts

They liked the company (or part of it) so much that they bought it.

This is not a story about Piper buying individual spare parts from a third party – Piper Germany has acquired a majority shareholding in the Parts and Spares division of CSE (CSEPS).

CSEPS is one of the largest engine distributors outside the USA. It represents both TCM and Lycoming in the UK market, as well as a number of other manufacturers, and provides a full range of support services to customers.

A joint statement said ‘CSEPS offers true ‘nose to tail’ support for the General Aviation industry… It will continue to operate autonomously in the UK market and operates from an impressive purpose built warehousing facility close to Oxford Airport. The business operates a state of the art computer system that allows key customers to access its stock database remotely.’

The acquisition is another step for Piper Germany in terms of developing a significant share of the European market, the group already owns Cooper Germany, RAS Parts and has recently established Piper UK in Shoreham.
