SafeSky, the electronic conspicuity app has launched version 3.0 of its free electronic conspicuity app on the company’s third birthday.
The release brings four main upgrades, Smart Radar, which the company says offers an improved safety experience by bringing you traffic alerts when they matter most. The alerts are based on relative tracks/convergence and speed, and are shown with a more TCAS like presentation of traffic.
There’s now a simple way of disabling alerts for specific aircraft if you are flying in formation, there is also a section of the app that brings you the latest appropriate Metars, based on your position and route, and finally an aeronautical chart layer that is said to make adding content to traffic information simpler.
